Senior Backend Engineer

Your role

As a backend engineer, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop and optimize our current services and to design and implement new features that our clients love and trust.

Our backend is a fundamental pillar of our solution. It uses advanced digital signal processing and machine learning to process high-frequency sensor and context data in order to generate a precise and comprehensive driving behavior dataset. You will help us ensure we offer our services at the highest standard and solve tough problems that can truly push our solution forward. You’ll report directly to the founders and have a clear path to a leadership role in our startup.

We consider good coding skills a must but, not less important, that you should be driven to learn and keen to share your knowledge within the team. We foster a growth-based working environment and consider it to be a structural pillar of the fast-paced growth of our company.

The requirements

• Strong experience managing and building APIs
• Comfortable in designing & architecting backend solutions
• Experience with modern DevOps tools and workflows such as Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, or equivalents
• Testing and debugging the backend infrastructure in controlled situations
• Strong experience with Linux
• Experience in any of the following languages or technologies: Python, SQL, Redis, .NET (preferably .NET Core) is strongly valued
• Experience with React, Typescript or Node is a plus but not essential
• Experience with Agile development (e.g. Kanban, Scrum)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong team player
• Fluency in English is a plus
